When creating any do-it-yourself project, there are certain materials that are necessary to achieve your desired look. Besides a computer and printer, Pauline Elizabeth Design invitations and stationery will require a paper cutter, double stick tape, and/or a glue stick. Whether you use a large, professional type paper cutter, a Fisker rolling version, or just an Exacto knife with a ruler, use the one with which you are most comfortable. If you don't feel like investing a lot of money into purchasing a paper cutter, you can always take all of your printed invitations to any local printer and have them cut easily and professionally for a minimal cost.
When designing your one-of-a-kind invitations, double stick tape will be your best friend. With a superb hold, it is easy to use, eliminates the mess, and is perfect for securing difficult corners. To prevent folds and inconsistencies in your designs, make sure the tape is free of ripples before placing it on the paper. Usually a small piece in each corner you are attaching will be plenty to hold the paper in place. For extra hold, a swipe of the glue stick in the middle of the paper will do the trick. To ensure everything is attached well, press your completed pieces overnight under several heavy books.
